Our Client, a Global Fashion Brand, is looking for a Director of Ethics & Compliance and Enterprise Risk to join their growing team.

THE ROLE
The Director of Ethics & Compliance and Enterprise Risk will lead, oversee, and drive the continuous improvement of the global risk and ethics & compliance functions for Our Client group. In this role, you will manage a global team charged with promoting a positive culture and developing pragmatic solutions to manage the group’s dynamic risk and compliance environments. This role requires an individual who can build a strong brand with the business and enable their team to provide world class service and support their key stakeholders.
 
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Drive the development and continuous improvement the strategy and operations of Our Client’s risk and compliance programs.
• Advise the business on risk-based and pragmatic solutions to address emerging regulatory and enterprise risks.
• Exercise oversight and enforce our ethics & compliance program, including the Code of Conduct, Anti-bribery and Corruption, Sanctions, Conflicts of Interest, Third Party Risk, Anti-Money Laundering, and other areas.
• Promote a positive culture of risk and compliance by building a strong internal brand with the business.
• Develop and maintain global internal and external stakeholder relationships that promotes proactive collaboration.
• Direct risk and compliance assessments in order to identify gaps, inefficiencies, emerging risks, and areas of opportunity.
• Lead compliance due diligence efforts on corporate development efforts and drive the integration of acquired businesses into the Our Client group risk and compliance programs.
• Report to senior management and the board of directors on key issues, priority projects, emerging risks, and the overall state of the risk and compliance programs
• Oversee the global Speak Up and Investigation programs.
• Develop, manage, grow and motivate a team of risk and compliance professionals that will include at least three direct reports.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and operations of third-party tools and software.
• Work with outside counsel, as needed.
• Manage the risk and compliance program budget.

 
WHO YOU ARE

• Significant experience in a risk and compliance-focused roles with an understanding of how to structure and scale an effective risk & compliance program, relevant tech/retail industry experience a plus
• You possess relevant certifications (e.g., CFE, CCEP-I, ACAMS)
• You are knowledgeable on topics related to Our Client’s global Ethics & Compliance program such as, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, fraud, sanctions, and third-party risk.
• You are familiar with enterprise risks that a company like Our Client faces.
• Experience being both hands on and strategic in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• A strong work ethic with a high level of attention to detail
• Positive and approachable demeanour with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to grasp legal and business issues quickly, balance risks, exercise sound judgement, and provide creative, practical, constructive, and timely counsel in a growing, dynamic, and fast-paced business environment.
• You are a self-starter and who can put their mark on new and existing initiatives and never settle for the status quo and strive for continuous improvement.
• You have impeccable judgement and unimpeachable integrity.
