Job Description
Our Client is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity professional to support its Risk Management team. The individual will be responsible for assessing the cybersecurity risks presented by assets held in the Real Estate Group’s global portfolio. The Risk Management team works across sectors, regions, and functions within Real Estate, and with a wide range of portfolio companies controlled by the Real Estate Group. This job involves both strategic leadership and day‐to‐day guidance based on subject matter expertise and an understanding of business objectives with respect to different assets.
Responsibilities:
Act as global subject matter expert on cybersecurity risks presented in the Real Estate Group’s global portfolio.
Conduct cybersecurity assessments to identify key risks within an investment and across the portfolio.
Advise the Risk Management and Portfolio Management teams on cybersecurity risks.
Monitor execution of mitigation plans relating to cybersecurity risks
Participate in quarterly risk reporting, by providing input on cybersecurity assessments, initiatives, incidents, and trends.
Facilitate real-time reporting of cybersecurity incidents; provide support and guidance in response to cybersecurity incidents.
Develop strong relationships with portfolio managers, regional risk resources, other global subject matter experts and other stakeholders
Essential Skills/Qualifications
10-15 years of experience in risk assessment in the public and/or private sectors, with a focus on cybersecurity risks
Specific experience assessing cybersecurity risks and potential mitigants in a variety of real estate sectors (g., offices, malls, multi-family dwellings, and warehouses) or in other corporate contexts.
Strong relationships within the cybersecurity industry and/or with law enforcement agencies
Ability to provide practical, business‐oriented guidance in a dynamic, global environment.
Highly self‐motivated and proactive; eager to take ownership of work product.
Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills; ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work in a decentralized, matrix organization.
Willingness to work collaboratively with several different stakeholders.
Exceptional interpersonal skills: ability to develop relationships at all levels in the organization.
Excellent organizational skills and capability to effectively manage priorities while meeting timelines.
