Accounting Manager

Our Client, an Innovative Healthcare Firm, is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their growing team.

POSITION OVERVIEW
  • Supports the financial reporting of the company’s accounting operations. Formulates and maintains the accounting policies, plans and practices. Ensures that all financial data is accurate and prepared in compliance with internal and external standards and accepted accounting principles. Ensures accurate managing of all company accounts. Maintains an appropriate internal control environment.  Identify and implement opportunities for improvement with peers and directors.  Prepares and presents reports and findings to top management, and directors.
  • Maintain company management accounting processes to identify, measure, accumulate, analyze, prepare, interpret, and communicate information used by management to plan, evaluate and control within the company to assure appropriate use of and accounting for its resources and business.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting for quarterly and year-end audit procedures, both internal and external, and roll-up into the corporation’s audited financial statements, review the company consolidated revenues in conjunction with preparation of consolidated revenues by Corporate. Responsible for preparing individual program P&L’s.
  • Keeps abreast of financial reporting principles, regulatory reporting requirements and other accounting industry developments that have a financial impact on the operating results of the organization ensuring timely and accurate implementation and reporting, identifying issues and developing solutions.
  • Develops, implements, monitors and ensures proper internal controls are in place and internal policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and safeguarding of assets. Assures protection of company business assets through internal control and internal auditing.
  • Maintains an awareness and knowledge of federal and state regulated changes regarding government and third party payers and medical records.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and reports for the company in support of communicating with non-management groups such as shareholders, creditors, regulatory agencies, and tax authorities.
  • Preparation of various financial analyses as directed by management. Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required.
  • Travel requirements include infrequent travel to corporate offices in support of education and guidance in regard to accounting issues.
  • Understand and provide visible support of Destination Zero.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • CPA certificate preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 to 7 years specific experience
  • This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
