Associate, Portfolio Construction and Risk Management
Our client, a Leading Global Asset Manager, is looking for an Associate within their Portfolio Construction and Risk team....LA location (hybrid)
Our client’s Portfolio Construction and Risk Management team is building out its portfolio operations and support of our Multi-Strategy Credit product offerings. They are seeking an individual to participate in the daily management of daily portfolio operations, cash management, asset allocation and support for the portfolio management team with both internal and external ad-hoc requests. In addition, there will be a strong emphasis on leveraging current technology solutions for scale and efficiency, as well as coordinating with several internal teams, such as fund accounting, trade operations, performance, to ensure that reports and analysis are delivered in an accurate, consistent, and timely manner.
Responsibilities include:
Learning about the company’s complex, systematic investment process, markets invested in, financial instruments used and the reporting processes that support their portfolio management teams, clients, related consultants and prospects;
Supporting portfolio managers with the daily operations and management of a multi-strategy portfolio;
Supporting the data and analytics requests of senior team members and Portfolio managers to advance the Multi-Strategy investment process; this includes, but is not limited to the production of performance results, relative value metrics, market color and benchmark statistics;
Supporting the preparation and development of ad hoc and standardized reports, as well as participating in the research, design and creation of new reports as needed;
Serving as a subject matter resource to Sales Representatives, Portfolio Managers and Client Services;
Reviewing financial data for various professionals and developing charts and tables for presentations and publications;
Preparing, as necessary, performance contribution/attribution analysis, benchmark analysis, and other reports for Portfolio Managers, Marketing, and Client Relations;
Collaborating with Business Analysts and Information Technology to automate reports
Qualifications
3 to 6 years of experience working at an Asset Management company, Investment Bank or other related financial services company (including financial services technology vendors) in a risk management, portfolio operations and analysis capacity;
